angkor thom - one of the temples
as said, this temple used to have treasure worth millions of dollars buried underneath a buddha statue in it. during the reign of khmer rouge under pol pot, he blew the buddha statue to pieces in a quest for the treasure.
the buddha statue was rebuilt recently nearby. i'm refraining myself from telling a buddhism history but this one really caught my ears when it was told. this buddha's position tells a story of buddha being seduced by 3 naked girls trying to distract him from his meditation. the rest, everyone knows, of course good always win vs evil. and these girls went to tell everyone that buddha was actually did slept with them. so buddha positioned himself, like this statue and then suddenly the earth split into two and came out a beauty telling the rest that buddha was innocent and it turned out that those girls were actually devils.
3 girls?....i'd have failed. hahaha!

angkor thom - phimeanakas
quoted from asiatour.com:
"From the center of the palace complex rose the Heavenly Palace, Phimeanakas. The king of the Khmer always used to spend the first part of each night in the uppermost part of this Heavenly Palace, where according to legend he had sexual intercourse with the sun queen."
our tour guide said that for once the palace area was inaccessible for everyone except the king and his family. there was a chinese ambassador who was granted admission to the area later described that the whole palace compound was filled with young women walking around.............naked! he added that the girls came from all around khmer kingdom....and gathered there for the king. the king re-supplied the girls in the compound once a month with new ones, totalling up to 280 girls a month. mathematically he had sex with more than 25 girls per day and we only have 24 hrs per day. sure he was a busy king back then. i guess he's better than hugh hefner.
these photos were shot at heavenly palace, the shagging place. indeed i took pictures of the 'true for 'man'kind historical site' itself, opening up to clear sky. oh, please excuse my wannabe act to be the king. my last photo shows the entry gate for the girls to enter the palace compound. beyond this gate, girls....clothes off please

floating night
there was a sign in the restaurant that says "drug abuse is prohibited". i guess they make good use of it by putting it on the pizza as toppings. nicknamed "happy pizza", we indeed became happy. 1 hour to take effect as claimed by the chef, some of us did float quite fast though. went for bar hopping afterwards, 1st to be 'angkor what? bar' where its walls are full with writings (wouldn't wanna use the term 'graffiti' here, i know the term). we landed our mark there. spent a glass of soft drink, and few couple of burning sticks (substitution for cigarettes in respect with the nature of siem reap being close to angkor wat...what the hell) then we hopped to 'buddha bar'. nice setting for the pool table. went upstairs where the night started to float. varied reactions individually. mine to be lucky to still be able taking few more shots with my camera. well, they said i took more time than i should just to take one shot. i call it, 'concentrating, focus, and stay within the line'. lastly, we went to 'laundry bar' where they played electronica funk jazz chill out music. like the music. went back to the hotel only to see asrul succumbed. what a floating happy night in siem reap.
